Zea mays convar. indurata
Very nice dark corn – ideal for polenta or tortillas
As the name suggests, the black Ticino comes from Switzerland. The black, shiny grains are great when ground for tortillas, Riebel (corn grits) or polenta. The corn should be harvested as soon as the kernels are mature (hard), otherwise there is a risk of mold.
Seed depth: 4 cm, spacing: 50 x 20 cm
